I am VERY excited to have been accepted to display (and hopefully sell!!!!) my wares at the Sisters' Market in Brunswick on Saturday October 9th. The next couple of months are going to be very busy indeed! Scarves to make, work 4 days a week at my "real job", a 2 week family holiday in Queensland, and all of the other household duties that come with caring for 3 children and a hubby. Thankfully at this point I am feeling inspired. I am hoping to keep "overwhelmed" at bay! I have just updated my Nilly Design Store on madeit so check out my new designs! I would love to hear from anyone who has had a stall at the Sisters' market - how did you go? Any tips for success?

Winter Grey
Now that I have my Summer sewing frenzy out of my system I am back to the reality of Winter Grey. Not in a negative way as I have finished a couple of projects that were cluttering up my sewing space. The jacket is a Vogue pattern (2211) I have had for years. It is double wool cashmere - so deliciously warm! I decided against the welt pockets with such thick fabric and created my own gathered pouch pockets which really set it off.
My second finished project is a striped denim grey skirt. I have created a "prize winning" ruffle in red and white stripe as well as bias binding the hem. A collection of red buttons finish it off. It looks great with my new jacket and black boots. Not so Winter Grey after all!
